28.09.11 − Love scores, but CSKA is defeated

CSKA was beat by Inter Milan 3-2, on Tuesday, 27 September, in Moscow, in the second round of the group stage of the Champions League. The Italian goals were scored by Lúcio, Pazzini and Zárate, while Dzagoev and Vagner Love pulled two back for CSKA.

Inter opened the scoring after six minutes of the begining of the game with Lucio, who took a crossing in the area and gave a pass to Gabulov score. In the 23rd minute, Pazzini expanded to the Milanese team after a good play from the Japanese Nagatomo. CSKA managed to reduce the damage in the 48th minute of the first half with Dzagoev in a free kick.

In the second half, the Russians manage to equalize in the 32nd minute with Vagner Love, who made a beautiful move, dribbling past two defenders and shooting with no chance for Julio Cesar. Two minutes later, the Russians conceded one more goal. Zaraté scored and gave the victory to Inter.

With the defeat, CSKA became last in Group B with one point. Trabszonspor lead with 4 points, Inter are second with three points and Lille are third with two points. In the next round CSKA receive the Turkish team in Moscow and Lille face Inter in France.
